Collection: Vintage Western Wear

The cowboy is an American icon. It’s hard to think about vintage clothing and not picture western wear classics like a vintage pearl snap western shirt, dusty vintage cowboy boots, well worn vintage Wrangler jeans and vintage Levi’s jeans plus, the most identifiable vintage western wear accessory, the Stetson hat. Western wear evolved for function and necessity. Cowboys and rodeo riders played an integral role in the American economy, herding cattle across the open range. Pearl snaps were added to shirts to avoid injury from a rider’s shirt snagging on a tree branch or fence. Jeans evolved from being workwear uniforms for miners to styles better suited for riding horses and wearing cowboy boots. And the iconic wide brim cowboy hat fended off the elements. Over time, the distinctive garments of western wear became part of mainstream fashion which has left us with perfect pieces of western history wear today.
